FAQ

What is the difference between print and cursive style?

Print style uses upright, unconnected letters. Cursive style uses an italic slant to simulate connected cursive writing. Note that the generator uses standard fonts, so cursive here represents a slanted style rather than true joined cursive letterforms.

What are the different guideline options?

The baseline is a solid line where letters sit. The top line marks the height of capital letters. The midline (dashed) shows where lowercase letter bodies reach. The descender line marks where letters like g, p, and y extend below the baseline. Enable the lines most helpful for your students.

Can I use this for sentence copying practice?

Yes. Enter any sentences or passages. Each sentence line gets a solid reference line, a traceable dashed version, and blank practice line. For sentence copying, you can enter the sentences you want students to practice and adjust the letter size to fill the page nicely.
