FAQ

What is the difference between Dolch and Fry sight words?

The Dolch list contains 220 high-frequency service words compiled by Edward Dolch in 1936, organized by grade from pre-K through third grade. The Fry list, developed by Edward Fry, contains the 1,000 most common English words ranked purely by frequency of use in reading materials. Both lists are widely used in early literacy instruction.

Can I add my own words to the flashcards?

Yes. Select the Custom option and type or paste your own word list, one word per line or separated by commas. This is useful for vocabulary lists, spelling words, or any set of words you want students to memorize through flashcard practice.
