About Morse Code
Morse code is a character encoding scheme that represents letters and numbers using sequences of dots (.) and dashes (-). Developed in the 1830s-1840s for telegraph communication, it remains useful today in amateur radio, aviation, and emergency signaling. The timing ratio is: dot = 1 unit, dash = 3 units, gap between letters = 3 units, gap between words = 7 units.
