Paper Crane
The classic origami crane, a symbol of peace and good luck.

Start with a square piece of paper, colored side down. Fold in half diagonally both ways, then unfold.

Fold the paper in half horizontally and vertically, then unfold.

Bring all four corners together at the bottom, collapsing into a smaller square (preliminary base).
Tip: Use the existing creases as guides.

Fold the left and right edges to the center crease. Repeat on the back.

Fold the top triangle down. Unfold the last three folds.

Lift the bottom point up, folding along the creases to create a long diamond (petal fold). Repeat on back.
